Hancock Self Storage, established in 1997 by Les Stratton in the heart of Hancock village, is now operated by his daughter, Robin Stratton. Starting with a single building, our facility has grown to include ten buildings, with the most recent expansion completed in the summer of 2025. Our family's connection to this land spans four generations; locally known as Stratton Farm, the property has a rich history of over 100 years in agricultural use.
Our roots in Downeast Maine and Hancock run deep. Les, born and raised here, served on the Hancock Planning Board and as a Hancock Select Board member for many years and is a member of the Anah Temple Shrine. Robin, who returned home from Alaska in 2022, is actively involved in the Hancock community, volunteering with the Hancock Women’s Club and the Hancock Grammar School Backpack Program, and was elected to the Hancock Select Board in 2025.
